Coffee Table No.6 pairs a highly figured burly curly maple slab with a sculptural walnut base, creating a piece where natural character and structural design work in balance.

The maple top displays dense figure, swirling grain, and natural color variation that give the slab a luminous, almost three-dimensional appearance. Along the live edge, subtle hand-applied texturing enhances the natural contours of the slab. This restrained shaping adds tactile depth while preserving the organic movement of the wood.

Beneath the top, a sculptural walnut base provides both contrast and structure. Integrated into the base is a small secondary platform — a discreet shelf designed for everyday items such as a remote, book, or phone. Within the walnut components, areas of natural sapwood were intentionally preserved, allowing the lighter tones of the walnut to transition visually toward the maple above rather than creating a stark separation between species.
